Association of Students with special needs and volunteers was found in 1998. Association came out as a result of cooperation between Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and Tuzla University. Such cooperation was implemented through founding two Associations: PROGRES (our Association) and Proaccess Bosnia (Spain), which was supported by European Committee
Association is acting from its center at Tuzla University, working on improvement of higher education conditions for the students with special needs and development of volunteerism in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Association is non-government, apolitical and non-profit organization, gathering mainly people with disability who decide to go for higher education regardless to the type, rate or disability manifest. Besides mentioned, we gather different students, university staff, groups and individuals who are interested in giving their personal contribution in realization of goals of our Association through volunteer work and activities.
Association is registered in Justice Department of Tuzla Canton, Book 1, under serial number 465., on date 01.07.1998. Abbreviation of our Association is: USSPPiV (Association of Students with special needs and volunteers). Re-registration of Association is in progress and we will revert to our original title PROGRES.
Udruženje djeluje iz svog sjedišta na Univerzitetu u Tuzli, radeći na poboljšanju uslova studiranja studenata sa posebnim potrebama i razvoju volonterskog rada u Bosni i Hercegovini.
Udruženje je nevladina, apolitična i neprofitna organizacija, okuplja prvenstveno osobe sa invaliditetom koje se opredjeljuju na studij bez obzira na vrstu, stepen ili način na koji nastao invaliditet. Pored toga, okupljamo druge studente, osoblje univerziteta, grupe i pojedince zainteresovane da daju lični doprinos u realizaciji ciljeva udruženja kroz volonterski rad i aktivnosti.
Udruženje je registrovano kod Ministarstva pravde Tuzlanskog kantona Knjiga 1, pod rednim brojem 465., dana 01.07.1998.godine. Skraćeni naziv udruženja: USSPPiV (Udruženje studenata sa posebnim potrebama i volontera). U toku je preregistracija udruženja, pri čemu će biti vraćen prvobitni naziv PROGRES.
